Love these old articles about the SuperGrafx. Too bad NEC dropped the ball on this one. It looked so cool. This is the system they should have put up against the Genesis.

Thank you for this!  I remember this when I was young, it got me really excited for the TG16 and then that system bombed (in the US) and disappeared immediately.  Between this and the Turbo Coverage in VG&CE the Turbo became some holy grail in my young mind,

I never got into EGM when it was around but this cover is iconic.  Damn...I miss going to the local candy shop / news print store when I as a kid and looking at all of the gaming mags.  Days gone by.
