Ultimate Unauthorized Nintendo Game Strategies, Volume 2

For as snarky as I was in the description, this really isn't a terrible book. We get the first look at some Game Boy software, and instead of a Previews section looking at upcoming titles, we get a "Golden Oldies" section which looks at games which had already been out for a little while. There's also a pretty nifty section about hooking your NES up to a stereo system for better sound, a monitor for increased picture quality, a VCR to record your achievements, and even a computer to do image capture and editing. No other book I'm aware of talked about that back in the day.

I used to have one of their volumes for NES and Game Boy, and have one each of their SNES and Genesis books; not as good as the Secrets of the Games or Awesome series, but good in their own right.

Do have to ask, will we see their Game Boy book(s) uploaded?

You're welcome! Eventually the plan is to scan every volume of this series that I have. I've got the 3rd edition of the Game Boy book, which is a mass-market paperback (I believe the 1st and 2nd editions were trade size, same as the NES books), but I'm always on the hunt for the other editions.

Was not aware that their Game Boy guides were in the "trade" (smaller) size books, the only one of theirs I had was of the larger variety.

Both of the SNES and Genesis guides I have are the Trade size.

Speaking of multi-volumes, how many different varieties of Jeff Rovin's How to Win at Nintendo Games (Volume 1) are you aware of? I somehow have collected three different versions of the same "Volume 1," with a subtle difference in the games covered (and differences in covers, such as Red or Black covers).

I'm aware of three variations of the first volume of How to Win at Nintendo Games. They're all mass-market paperbacks; the first printing had a black cover, the second had a red cover with yellow lettering that was shot through with "scanlines", announcing it was an updated edition with 10 new games, including the first two Super Mario games, and the third edition had a red cover with solid yellow lettering.
