GamePro Hot Tips: Adventure Games

About This File

If you downloaded the first incarnation of this file, please re-download this one. The initial release was complete, but had a pagination problem which has been fixed.

Regardless of your feelings about GamePro the magazine, there's no denying this book is awesome. While the competition was going the black-and-white-only route, either with text only, or the occasional monochrome screen cap, the GamePro editors went all-in on this 220-page, full-colour beast of a book printed on high-quality paper, and sold for the same price as the less-cool-looking book right beside it on the shelf.

GamePro only did two books of this sort, this one for Adventure games, and a second for Sports titles. Unfortunately I only have this one, so @E-Day will have to wait, quivering with anticipation, until one of us gets ahold of the other one. :)

As with other scans, I've left out the completely blank pages so as to lower the file size.

Enjoy! ❤️

Danke!

I had tracked this one down a year or two ago, was not aware of a Sports book that they had. Always like the info you provide when uploading these!

You're welcome! I always try and find something fun to say about each upload. How many people actually read it, I don't know, but it's like indexing the magazines: I'm here to have fun, and if I can share that fun with someone else, that's my goal. :)

Thank you, Areala. I had this book when i was younger, about 11-years-old, and I brought this with me everywhere around the house. I kept track of games I wanted to play like Narc and Fester's Quest, and I read through these tips over and over. I wore this book out, its so nice to see it once again. There wasn't a lot of videogame print stuff available around 1990, so we cherished any book or mag we got back then. Its nice having the text information you provide, because this is the place we come to find the download. Otherwise the info would be put on some random website that we would have to go digging for in a search. Much appreciated.

You're totally welcome! I'm so glad you were able to reunite with a childhood friend! :)
