Tips & Tricks Video-Game Codebook Volume 17 Issue 02 (March 2010)

You might see a gap between page 40 to 57.  It is actually the correct numbering the poster that was originally included counted as page 41 to 56.  So, except the fact that the poster is missing, the magazine is complete with no missing page.

Wait, a 16-page poster?  So 8 pages per side?  That would necessitate each side being 4x2...what a weeeeird size for poster - long and narrow.

Wait, it says "posters inside"...maybe it was 2 posters (as in separate posters, not a single double-sided poster.  That would mean each poster would be 8 pages, or 4 pages per side, making each side 2x2 size, which would be more poster-like in dimensions.

Posters are typically 1x2, 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4 (4x4 being so large I refuse to bother scanning/joining them), so I'm betting it was two 2x2 posters (whether double-sided or just white on the back, who knows, unless it says so somewhere in the mag)

Yes, it was two posters and each fold count as a regular page.  I still find it a bit weird, but that’s how they have done it 🤷‍♂️.   What I also realize, it is quite common with this magazine.
