About This File

Lots of reviews this issue.  Indeed, the review section is also the cover story, which is possibly a first?

Thanks. I never gave much thought to these Games for Windows issues, but you said there were a lot of reviews, so I was sold. I might check out the others.

It's better to think of this as Computer Gaming World - you'll be better able to respect yourself in the morning.

I'm sure CGW was in dire straits at the time and the title change helped keep them in print a bit longer, but in retrospect I wonder if they regretted it, as most people don't even realize it's the same mag, making the last couple of years of their publication mostly overlooked and forgotten to history.

Thank you so much. I didn't realize it was CGW. I never followed the PC mags as much back then since I didn't have a good computer. I've been getting back into them since computers nowadays can easily run stuff from back then (mostly). I thought it might be a known mag since not many physical mags survive up to 2008, but I didn't know which one it could be. I will be sure to download this run as well as CGW now.

You can get every single issue of CGW (started in 1981) in PDF at  https://www.cgwmuseum.org/

They aren't as high res as our scans, but they're totally readable.  And anyways, our collection of CGW is woefully incomplete, so we're lucky to have them.
