How to send an e-mail (1984)

I actually think in the US services like compuserve etc were much more mature than this at that point. I can remember people going online earlier than 1984 with those services. Like 82 or even before. But most people didn't have the money to by a computer with a modem.

Also was that guy's password 1234?

the software "Download" was kinda cool. Also from what I recall compuserve had MicroNET in 1979(which was 4yrs before I was born) we(my house) got the "Internet"(which is what we where told compuserve was by the salesman) in 1990 I honestly don't think we even used it. I was much more into BBS games and forums which compuserve didn't really have at the time.

I haven't been able to look at technology the same way ever since learning that Information Society embedded a text message in a vinyl record.

Quick wikipedia dig reveals that the singer of Information Society also composed the music of the Soul Reaver games. All comes around huh?
