The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Map Size

Recommended Posts

Assuming it isn't a bunch of dead space like vast oceans between land masses (and even if it is), the feeling it gives me is that the game is too big for its own good.  9 times the size of Skyrim?  How is that necessary?  Link better hope Hyrule has a network of bullet trains and maybe a few airports.  Epona ain't gonna cut it.

Been watching Mike Matei play it on Youtube. Apart from the things that give him trouble that make me wanna yell at him through the screen in vain, I find the game quite fascinating. Not sure if there is a main thread for this game, but I almost want to buy a Switch, simply to play this game. Actually, if there isn't a main thread for BOTW, I'm gonna go make one.
