Scanner Calibration using Q60/IT8 Colour Calibration Target?

I'm wondering if anybody has calibrated their scanner output? Using a Q60/IT8 Colour Calibration Target?

I can only find one mention of the process:

So I'm thinking it's not really common.

I've sent an email to Wolf at coloraid.de who sells the most affordable targets.

Yeah, marktrade is the only person I know of to become obsessed with calibrating their scanner.  Ironically, in my opinion, the quality of his scans went down after he had it calibrated.  Perhaps his calibrated scans more accurately captured the actual appearance of the magazine pages including yellowing and fading from age, but I found his pre-calibration releases to be far more pleasing to my eye.
