Xploder / Xplorer Game Cheat Codes (Playstation 1) (UK/PAL)

Hello, i currently have an Xploder CR for the PS1, but i cannot seem to find any codes for it, (i was trying to use one in Tomb Raider 3: Adventures of Lara Croft), but for some reason none of the preinstalled ones were working, and wondered if there were any others printed in magazines, Does anyone know of any magazines that had these specifically, i cannot remember what books or mags actually had these but remembered they were listed in some.

I tried searching the net, all i got was Gameshark codes, or ones that didn't seem to be exactly the same, and is there anyone who was able to remember any codes for the game.

I also tried the search here, but wasn't able to find any codes for that game, at all.

I just thought i would ask as the whole Xploder /Xplorer database seems to be completely disappeared, likely due to not being required anymore...

Never heard of it. Action Replays was the more popular cheat code tool so it was in a lot of UK Mags (and some US).

Yeah I have one of them for the ps2 games. Quite like it better than xploder, may look into getting a 2nd hand AR for ps1 games...

Maybe you have Tomb Raider 3 version 1.1 - The codes from the earlier version are different.

Funnily I was thinking this earlier,  but it doesn't seem to indicate that disc edition I have.

It was SLES-01649 [UK] (PAL)

Some xploder codes went working,  so tried a few other ones,  thought I could insert the game and the code again (on the disc, saved via Memcard1) if I could find a new one to check it ..

But yes Xploder does seem to be rarer,  it seems more Gamesgark or Action Replay.

 

I should state that I play via a slim ps2 console,  but the ps1 discs work fine normally.

I might even try and sort something with the fmcb ps2 card and try and research the ps1 codes and cheats that way if I get more time...

Sorry that I'm late to the party on this, but I seem to remember from personal experience in years past that the Game Xploder and Action Replay devices only worked on their specific hardware. I could never get my PS1 Xploder to work with my PS2 (original fat model), but it worked just fine with my 9000-series PlayStation. The problem might not be with the codes, it may be with hardware incompatibility.

Thanks. I wondered if that was the case as I couldn't get it to work with the ps2,

i need to get a psOne again to test it lol.
