Yeah, I’m surprised there hasn’t been one yet. I know Phillyman was working on it. I assumed it’d be done by the time the MegaSG fundraising would’ve been over and then it’d be released.

I'm pretty sure the last time a yearly torrent was posted, it had been 3 years since the previous one.  If we'd already had the 2024 torrent by now, that would have probably made it the most timely torrent ever.  Have patience.  Better yet, have a whoooooooole lotta patience.  Of course, if you keep talking about it, who knows, it might pressure Phillyman into speeding things up?  Then again, it might annoy him into slowing things down?  WHAT'S THE BEST TACTIC?  WHAT SHOULD YOU DO????😱

I only had two posts, both in this thread. I don’t usually post on boards anymore.

I just asked that question as I figured they were yearly and that’s it.

I only complain if I paid for something and it doesn’t arrive or is slow. If it’s free like this, I don’t because well, it’s free first of all and secondly, lots of people time and work gone into this (mine included as I was a lifetime member that forgot their login and long lost access to the email I used).

So, yeah, hope you’re joking because I was merely trying to ask a question, nothing more.

Joking?  Well, it was said in a jocular manner, but I don't think I was joking.  Torrents usually don't arrive in a timely manner, that's a fact.  As for the "what should you do?" part, here's an example of what I mean:

I've got a database entry I created for a strategy guide which I've already scanned and uploaded here.  The DB entry has been sitting there, waiting for an admin to approve it for 6 days now, and there's even a comment perched at the top of the chatbox about it.  All it takes is a single click of the "approved" button, but so far, neither Phillyman nor anyone else has found the time to click that button.  Indeed, team members were recently given the ability to approve posts from people with new member status like yourself because the admins would often take ages to click the "approve" button.  A year ago, your post would have probably gone unapproved for a week before getting approved and showing up in the forums, but now that team members can do it, newbie posts get approved within hours at most, sometimes minutes.  But creating a yearly torrent can only be done by one person, and requires a WHOLE lot more work than clicking a single button, so if there's no time for them to do the former, there's certainly no time to do the latter.

So what should I do, regarding the entry needing an admin's attention?  Is it being purposefully ignored?  Is asking repeatedly to approve it going to get it done any faster, or is it going to cause it to never get done just to spite me?  Maybe the admins never even bother looking at their notifications and don't even realize it needs approved?  When you start wondering why something hasn't been done yet, there's simply too many unknowns and your imagination can run wild.  Best to just let it be.  It will get done someday, or it won't.  There are a few people who are active on the site who would no doubt have already had the 2024 torrent up and seeding if they were able (please note, I'm NOT referring to myself), but the fact is that only Phillyman can create the torrents.

Are they being worked on?  Who knows.  You already asked that question over a week ago, and you can see how it wasn't responded to by anyone in the know.  Nothing to do but have patience.

I will catch up on the various things said in this thread later, but I will work on the torrent this weekend and hopefully knock it out. Since January I swear I have caught like 4 different illnesses, and between that and renewing my license and passport before I am unable to do so because no one works for those departments, time has been thin.
