I know there were a few gold Super Fami games but not NES. And if I remember correctly Zelda on the Fami was yellow not even gold. I may be wrong though.

Yep, turned out to be a bootleg game like the dozens of Sonic games on SNES etc.

It wasn't actually a golden cartridge if I remember correctly.

Just some bootleg famicom game which was named "Golden Mario"
