Mirror's Edge Impressions.

So I managed to get my grubby hands on a demo of Mirror's Edge (PS 3 version). I went into the demo with high hopes and the game exceeded them easily. The sound effects are amazing, the style of the city is simple yet engaging, and the first person perspective really helps you to get into the action. First person games generally aren't my cup of tea, but this game has managed to get me hooked, lol. Its great to see a fully fleshed out Parkour game. I hope the game can make it through with no glitches/bugs, as recent games have been hit by these nuisances. This will definitely be a first day purchase.

Its funny, EA has been on my crap list for the longest time (due to releasing sucky games), but it looks like they're starting to get back in the groove like they were in the early 90's.

I haven't played this game yet, but a buddy of mine bought it and it made him sick to play it. Literally SICK. Maybe he will give it to me................

I thought the demo was pretty good so when I find a cheap copy I'll probably get it. I can't stand FPS's on consoles 'cause I need mouse/KB control, but the first person viewpoint in games isn't bad on its own. Luckily the game tries to steer you from playing it like a shooter so I won't need to pass it up.

Yeah EA still blows, they're only the publisher. That's why I was able to buy Rock Band, the Simpsons game, and Burnout. Can't stand most of the rest they produce and have never owned one of their sports games. EA has a nasty habit of running games into the ground. SSX and NFS being good examples of games that were once great and now suck.

I thought it was a pretty decent game.

A good concept that seemed to work in small doses.

Prob would o been better as a psn or Live game than a full price one
