Dude, you totally missed Guardian Heroes. That was the best! I brought that game and four controllers to a friends' house on New Year's Eve 1999 when another friend brought his shiny new Dreamcast and Soul Calibur. GH got about double the game time because everybody liked it so much!

My first wife left me over my Saturn playing. What happened was, I apparently played my Saturn too much (didn't like going out and drinking at parties then driving so I would have parties at the house instead). The ex didn't like it and she came in one day and told me it was either her or the Saturn, I told her to hold on a sec, I was about to finish that level (Guardian Heroes, well worth every bit of yelling I had to hear from her). By the time I beat the level she had already moved out like 3 boxes of her stuff. I was like, whatever and went ahead and kept playing. Awesome game, Guardian Heroes. I did beat it later that night.

Wow, the way you told that story is kinda pathetic. Then again, it sounds like the two of you were just incompatible...

My girlfriends, then my wife, have always been happy when I stayed at home playing games because that meant I wasn't out drinking or getting into trouble.

That was an extreme conolidation of what happened between her and me. I left out the booze guzzling parties she would drag me to where I was the designated driver for over 20 people, the, ahem, orgy, I walked in on a few days prior to her leaving me 'over video games' and then there was the broken nose and broken right index finger. Come to think of it, had it not been for my Saturn, I would have probably left her sooner, I think she may have been a little violent. Eh, who knows, those were some great gaming memories I had from back then.

Yeah, I suspected that you playing Saturn wasn't the real cause of the breakup ;)

The only time my wife has complained about gaming was when I had non-stop marathons that lasted over two weeks. Over the last few years she has joked that I'm having a mid-life crisis because of my game collecting hobby, but she also says that it's a lot better than buying a Porche or having a mistress. Plus, she likes some of the old games as well...

I may be going through a mid life crisis myself. Want to know how I solved the problem? I got a girlfriend that is the same age as my midlife crisis and is into the same stuff. Problem solved. :Yahooo:

I have to say Psychic Assassins (I forgot the Japanese name for it) is one of the better games. It's like shinobi.

Also The Horde.

Man, wish I had that power sometimes! ;D GH was great, Nights was great, Bug was kinda cool, Clockwork Knight was fun somewhat. I even liked Daytona USA even though there was nothing to it. I really loved Virtual On and Fighting Vipers, and the version of Street Fighter Alpha 2 that's on Saturn is just the best version, hands down, next to the arcade.

And Sonic Jam, to me, is still one of the best Sonic compilations to date. I loved all the galleries and how everything was laid out in the Sonic World. And seeing Sonic run through that 3d world was pretty gnarly, I wish Sonic Adventure had been more like that.

Haha, I think Sega should give you a award for this :).

I think that is called in Japanese: Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru

My favourites ones to say some are:

- Panzer Dragoon Zwei

- Panzer Dragoon Saga

- Guardian Heroes

- Nights

- Cotton 2

- Burning Rangers

- Decathlete

- Shinobi X

- Princess Crown (that got a sequel called Odin Sphere)

etc.

:)
