Here is a quote from their site about the release and help needed information (tell them Retromags sent you):

Retroaction needs you

While we have succeeded in producing issue one of Retroaction, it hasn't been easy. It's taken us four long months (even more for the editor) to get the magazine from its initial beginnings to its final release. To enable the magazine to be produced more quickly, as well as ensuring a balanced content, we need more volunteers who can review homebrew games, retro remakes, write articles or features. If you think you have what it takes to produce such articles, then get in touch with the editor at editor@retroactionmagazine.com.

Well, I finished the magazine in PDF format.

I think overall it seemed pretty good. I just don't think I like the way they jumped around in time periods. I almost wish they would start off with the oldest stuff and work towards some of the newer.

What did everyone else think?

All in all, I liked it, learned a lot about some games that I would have otherwise just browsed right past online. I think for a first release, that it is quite good.

I like how they ended the issue though, I was thinking about something like that when I was reading some of the articles and BAM! there it was. Classic.
