Chapter 11 but still bankruptcy. Maybe they can come out of this and become profitable some day.

I guess this means there is very little hope for DLC for Mortal Kombat v. D.C.

They actually implemented a nice system where they could have just dumped a ton of characters into the game. Sadly that means no more Nerd Super Matchups. /sigh

Chapter 11 is where they still operate business right? Just means they are going through the courts to work out their situation with creditors doesn't it?

For Chapter 11 they have to do an entire restructuring. Basicly it cleans out most of their debts but requires that everythign is restructured to way that "makes" money. My guess is that DLC for recently released games that were only mildly popular (what is with a MK game with no gruesome fatalities anyway?)

Probably means a lot of people will end up getting laid off and where better to start that then the guys working on "additional" content that will sell for a few bucks.

Depends I guess on the success of previous DLC, look at music, most people scoffed that no one would pay $1 per song to download it, but look at what Apple has done. It could still be left in though. I see the guys and gals working on the new untried IP's or ideas being the hardest hit with this situation.

It's still pretty sad that they have to file for it. Watch EA or Activision buy them up. Why, I don't know. Does Midway even own any good IP?

I think they own a lot of the Extreme Sports brands. I.E. NBA Jam and Blitz as well as Mortal Kombat. I think they have a temporary IP on DC characters (as seen in MK v. DC. I am not aware if that was a "for a period of time" or "for this one game" type deal).
