The problem the PS3 has is that nobody has really tapped into its potential. On paper its more powerful than the 360 but so far nothing can be shown off to really prove that.

It also has kind of a weak online service.

However in a year or so when they get to grips with the system it should start to pull ahead and overtake the 360.

Sony need to shape up and start getting so quality exclusive titles on the shelevs (Killzone 2 helps) and people will sit up and take notice.

The Xbox was more powerful than the PS2 and it didn't come close to overtaking it. Just because you are the more powerful system doesn't guarantee success (look at history, marketing is usually what wins for the respective system).
