Street Fighter Iv Special Edition

Ok so yeah I got rid of Skate II and decided to drop the money on SF4 and a controller. Anyway... there will be one additional Special Edition available tomorrow that I'm thinking of picking up. My question since I've not been able to find any details... does anyone know what the downloadable content is that is supposed to come with the speical edition?

I know it comes with a Strat Guide, Music CD, a 45 min anime and downloadable content. But that's all I know. I'm wondering if the $30 extra will be worth it or not.

I could care less about the music since I hear the music is nothing special in this game and I don't care about the guide. The background info on the game it self through the Anime is something that I'm interested in but that alone I don't think is worth the extra money.

The DLC is the "Brawler Pack". Apparently the Alternate outfits (Not alternate colors...that is allready in the game) will be by DLC. Every character has a new outfit you can download and it will be split up as so...

2/17 – Brawler Pack DLC Pack will include alternate costumes for: Zangeif, E.Honda, Rufus, El Furete, and Abel.

2/24 – Femme Fatale Pack will include alternate costumes for: Chun-Li, Cammy, Sakura, Rose, and C.Viper.

3/3/09 – Shoruken Pack will include alternate costumes for: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken, and Dan.

3/10/09 – Shadowloo Pack will include alternate costumes for: Seth, M.Bison, Sagat, Balrog, and Vega.

3/17/09 – Classic Pack will include alternate costumes for: Guile, Dhalsim, Fei-Long, Blanka, and Gen.

Sometime soon they will also have a Championship Edition DLC which will add some more modes and online tournaments, etc. This will be a free DLC for everyone.

Personaly I am looking forward to the Brawler Pack (Zangiefs Haggard Clothes and El Fuertes Raging Cook outfit) and the Classic Pack (Fei-Long's Forest Law Impression and Blankas Camping gear)

I would kinda like the CD so I am hoping they have a Collectors Edition when I get off work.

Thor...by the way...would you be interested in exchanging 10 consecutive wins online? That way we could both get that trophy. Everytime I try to get trophies like that I get cheaped by someone after 8 wins or so. (PS3)

He would get the "Brawler Pack". The code even says on it that it is for downloading the Brawler Pack.

Sadly now I have to chose from buying the original edition and still spending an extra $4.00 on the Brawler Pack or getting the CE for a little more then that.

Ugh. I hate decisions like this. If only they were releasing the "all in pack" like they did in Jappan. With that DLC you get all of the outfits for the price of all minus one. If that is the case it would be cheaper for me to not buy the CE...

WoW...Apparently all 6 or so stores in my town are completley sold out of SFIV in regular and CE. Maybe someone will have some in next week :(

Well I just got back from Game Stop. The game was delayed on getting there because of the crappy weather we are having but I've got it now. I ended up getting the Special Edition. Haven't played the game yet I'm watching the anime and so far it's rather good. I'd say it's worth the extra money just for the movie. The strategy guide is like 10 pages and about half the size of a 360 game manual so it's rather disappointing. But... yeah I wouldn't have normally bought that clothing pack for those characters so I guess now I get them for free.

I finally managed to talk the owner of the local blockbuster into breaking the "street date" just for me. Because it took so long (and I think my wife and I keep that store in buisness) I didn't get to play too long. Hopefully tonight I will have a chance to give it a fair shot (after LOST...the wife always steals my TV for that).

Meppi - From what I have played, this is about as serious as a 2D fighter gets.

I am not sure if I like the feature where you can play the arcade 1p game and let people jump in for VS matches (Just like would happen in the arcade) because it seems that people always come in when the CPU has like 2% health ....when I am done with VS I have to start that match all over.

Thor - I am jealous. I really wish I could hear that Soundtrack...that was the only real bonus I was looking forward to.

Do you want to set a time later tonight or tomorrow and do the 10 ranked matches in a row for each of us? That is for one of the hard trophys as well as a Playstation HOME item....or are you a traitor and bought the Xbox360 version?

Well as you know I'm a huge Neo-Geo freak hence 2d fighters is my forte.

An yes this is a serious 2D fighter and it's freakin' amazing!!!!

I'm trying to unlock all the characters, well then again I've been doing that all day with the exception to all the interruptions from others wanting to play me online but I was all for that anyway. I love the fact that you can play arcade mode but have it so that random people can just jump in and play against you (of course this feature is able to be turned off). But this brings back the excitement of the arcade game when someone would pop a quarter in to vs you.

Trust me..after the 75th person who jumps in on you when Seth or your rival has like 2% health you will turn that feature off while you unlock stuff. I did that and unlocked all the characters in like 30 minutes...maybe a little more.

Oh yeah when I was trying to unlock characters I had that feature turned off. Now I only need to unlock Seth so I keep it turned on for rank matches. So far I have not lost one rank match but once I get up to the 1000 point range I'm sure I'll start to see better players.

I am still not adjusted to the PS3 controller so I only really do player matches. I know it will be forever or until I find someone I can trust before I get the 10 rank wins in a row. My biggest problem is doing a special move into an ultra. For some reason, especialy with the Shotos I get a fireball into a dragon punch instead of fireball into ultra fireball.
