Coca Cola Branded Game Gear On Ebay

Nothing too special really. Never thought the system was that rare to begin with. I've had several occasions where I could have bought one but didn't need it since I have 2 GGs.

Off course now that they are both in bad shape I could have used one. :P

Coca Cola kid is actually a nice little action game. Nothing spectacular, but quite good.

I regret having sold my Game Gear 10 years ago. I always thought it was system with great potential. I had the AC power adapter that made the console not as portable but free from the heavy battery use. It had some great games. Too bad it didn't catch on.

The battery use is the main reason that most people passed on it and went for the Gameboy.

On a side note, has anyone seen the diamond encrusted gold plated Game Gear? It was made by a jeweler in France years ago, I remember seeing a pic of it in an old magazine (not sure which one though).

Wow that's a steal!

But to be honest I'm not sure if I would ever seriously use it since I'd rather play my MegaDrive games on a TV.

I completely agree with you meppi. I mean, it is different with games made for a handheld, precautions are taken and accomodations made. Look at the Turbo Express. Great little handheld but try playing an RPG on it, or on the Nomad. Good luck with it.

May check with Phillyman and see what consoles he needs for his collection (he may be interested in some of the stuff they have there). A few weeks ago, they had a white mega drive, never saw one of those and thinking it was a fake of some sort, walked away from buying it. I went back a couple days later and it was already sold (I never even bothered to ask how much). After looking around online, it may have been a fan repaint or something.
