Ghostbusters celebrates 25 years since the release of the first movie this year and Atari are capitolizing on the special year.

I'm debating blowing a ton of money on the Real Ghostbusters DVD set from Timelife. Anyone have it? I know I probably wouldn't be disappointed, that show was GREAT on so many levels!

As for most of the games, they disappoint me, except for the Genesis one, which was pretty well done.

Atari - For some reason that game was awesome fun. You could buy gear...this was a novelty in an atari game...to have RPG elements in it. Then you could race across town (racing game). After that you had to catch a ghost (if you crossed the streams you died). It even had a boss battle with the Marshmellow man. It really had everything an atari game could ask for.

Lets not talk about the fact that you had to catch like 900 ghosts before you could get to the end boss...

except the random game that would send you to the boss after like the second ghost (meaning you have no gear at this point).

And apparently busting ghosts is not a lucrative gig as you are always out of cash.

Kotaku has pulled the relevant information for the new Ghostbusters game from the newest GiantBomb webcast show.

VG247.com has announced that the XBox 360 version of Ghostbusters will not be region locked.

Good news European Xbox 360 owners. The North American version of Ghostbusters will not be region locked.

This was confirmed by Atrai to Destructoid earlier today.

Game’s out Jun 16, and now you won’t have to wait.
