What About Buyers Guides & Catalogs?

I have this video equipment & entertainment buyer's guide I have kept since 1982. It's always a nostalgic read, reading up on descriptions & prices for laserdisc players, CED players, betamax decks, video game systems & dumb terminals from yesteryear. Never finished scanning it.

Product manuals from software & hardware companies, not scanned already(probably a handful on atariage) would be an interesting insight into how things used to be "in the day". Might even show some vaporware titles that never surfaced.

Buyer's Guides are accepted (we have several up already from EGM) and catalogs, why not? I haven't seen any uploaded that I know of but they are still interesting to me and surely others. I say finish scanning it and I can edit it for you and get it uploaded (I am working on your scans as I type this).

The manuals and stuff I would like to see, not sure if they are accepted here anymore (I know it is a touchy subject as most people have manuals for N64 games and such and it is hard to "date" those to being prior to the 2000 cutoff). If you want to scan them I know of a site that stores them much like we store magazines (a really great member, Areala, came over from there).

Well, for game manuals, I think some other project has them covered. Plus, I think there's some tricky copyright issues with some companies about releasing their manuals online. I see it as a benefit for buyers of used games who don't get the manual. atariage.com has tons of manuals for older games. Me? I would love to see those old catalogs from TI-99/4A hw/sw vendors back in the day(Triton, "The everything book").
