Do You Prefer To Play Retro Or Modern Games?

I'm trying, Jake. I'm playing through Goonies II and TMNT for NES right now. Two games I've never beaten.

I'm still not sure what it is I like about Goonies II besides the fact that it's about the Goonies. TMNT isn't much better, but it's kind of a neat game with some sweet tunes so it keeps my attention.

I think my preference is modern games done in a retro style. Like modern 2D platformers, or remakes of older games. Some old games are still great to play, but not all of them aged well in the graphics, sound, and control departments. Updated versions are nice for that.

I used to play retro games on my pc emulating DOS, amiga, c64, zx spectrum, apple ][, Nes, SNES, SMS, Genesis/Megadrive, Sega CD, Mame.... (you got idea... :))

Long time ago i wrote simple tutorial for DOSBox for one of abandoware web sites, and was regular in Amiga community...

And then couple of years ago I did sinister thing and purchased old used xBox, softmoded it, replaced HD with 320GB one, and started to play emulators on xBox, as well as xBox games. So now I play all of those games in living room... :D (got keyboard and mouse connected to xBox ;))

I didn't get any of last generation of consoles, but I do own all previous ones. (Dreamcast, PS2, NGC and xBox)
