Baby Kicked Out Of Burger King For No Shoes!

Common Sense yet again eludes some people

Baby feet are so cute, and in particular, my baby's feet are so cute. However, when Burger King says "no shoes, no service," they feel it applies to a baby, even a six-month old one. Thus, we find a barefoot baby being kicked out of Burger King.

Anyone who knows babies knows that a six-month old baby can't even crawl (in general). That's what Jennifer Frederich told the manager of the Sunset Hills, MO Burger King. He cited "health concerns." Right, a barefoot baby at Burger King is just a plague waiting to happen.

The obvious reason for a barefoot baby being booted from Burger King are indeed health-related. Obviously, the health department obviously would frown on an adult doing so. A six-month old baby, on the other hand, can't walk around or even crawl around the restaurant. This seems like overkill.

Apparently, the manager, who was standing next to the cashier when the family was placing their order, noted that Kaylie Frederich, who was being held by her grandmother at the time, was barefoot. He told them they could order take out, but they couldn't stay. Barefoot baby = no Burger King, in other words.

In fact, the family tried to stay, but the manager was insistent. He threatened to call the police, in fact, at which time the family left.

Let's be real: babies that young don't wear shoes, period. A barefoot baby being kicked out of Burger King over something like this? I think the home office needs to chime in, or perhaps even the Health Department.

One good thing, coming from the litigious U.S.: at least at this point, no lawsuit is planned.
