I think you guys should just put all of your stuff on media fire...you get unlimited uploads, downloads and bandwidth, however you are limited to 100MB per file...but you could always do 2 part files for those over the size.

In light of issues such as EGM #90 though, we would have to do 3 parts (it is 219 or so megs) then there are issues like EGM December 1994 it is at about 350 or so megs in it's Raw form.

I believe most people have a problem with RS and MU because of the wait time imposed on free members which is anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 or 20 minutes between file downloads, plus free members can only have one file downloading at a time.  

I have never had a problem with RS or MU being "down" when I wanted a file, never used Mediafire so I don't know about them, so I can't complain.  The wait is negligible to me.

Rapidshare has been really good for me. I've been using it it and have a premium account for over 2 years now and never was there anytime where it was down or something like that.

Very fast downloads+reliable is what I needed, so I stick with it.

, never used Mediafire so I don't know about them, so I can't complain.  The wait is negligible to me.

I can't believe you have never been faced with a mediafire link.

Though I do have to wait 15 minutes for each consecutive Rapidshare download, Jdownloader does all of the work and waiting. I can add 4 gigabytes of download links and sleep at 9:00 PM. When I check it at 9:00 AM it's all done. That's my tip for today.

I don't really frequent places other than RM that have download links off of the site (the places that do deal with file front, gamershell and others-mostly game demos and such, not many people uploading those to sites like RS and MF).

All of those free download sites compete to see how many hoops you can jump through before you get the goods. Some are good(forgot the exact one) where you instantly download it. The worst one was the "count the kitties" one with a heavily distorted captcha. You couldn't tell the difference between the kitties & puppies.

I think fileplanet's the one I have an account there on a REALLY old email address. I was surprised to find out it still works to this day.

I'm personally have preference by Megaupload.

But the important is the files... the download method is a secondary thing

I think everythings fine how it is. I don't download many issues at a time, though. I guess I could see free users having issues with downloading a lot. Does that happen with MU? I know Rapidshare's is hella annoying. No RS, I won't wait 15-20 minutes to d/l a 50 meg file.

I think MU stops you at about 700 megs to 1gig of downloads and makes you wait (it says 24 hours but after about an hour I have been able to start downloading again so who knows).
