Need some feedback, I am going to start creating some themes for thiswebsite, the first one I will be working on is a Dreamcast based theme.

Should I go this way...

This way....

or go Light for dreamcast? Like this?

Keep in mind I will add some Dreamcast flare to the theme, maybe some orange spirals that show up when a new topic is posted in a section. This is going to be an ongoing project to create a theme for a major system from each manufacturer.

Nintendo - Probably a NES type theme

Atari - Probably a 2600 type theme

Sega - A Dreamcast Theme

Sony - No freaking clue

SNK - A NeoGeo type theme

Microsoft - The classic Xbox theme

Each of these themes will have a Retromags logo that is suitable for it :)

Time to crack open the CSS file and see what needs changing :P

Since I have a preference for white, and more importantly because the console and bootup screen for the Dreamcast was white, I would go with that. Though, unless htere is a limit as to how mny themes you can have, you can make a light and dark theme for it. I like the theme in that last link the best.

For Sony, since this is a retro magazine site, I would go with grey, and more grey, like the iriginal PlayStation. Dark grey for banners and headers, light grey for the BG. IT reflects the colours of the original and slim models of the PSOne. :)

Hm... I like this one: http://www.gpf-design.com/skins/v3_gsorange.gif

It fits with the Dreamcast startup screen.

For a Sony theme, you could consider using a style based around the original PSX style. A grey theme, I suppose.

I would love to see a woodgrain style for the Atari theme. ^_^
