The XBOX 360 Controller

Recommended Posts

Who else has major issues with the 360's controller? I can't stand the D-pad for anything other than selecting items or weapons. It's utterly useless for anything else. It seems like if I hit anything it wants to input for Up!! I've went through every possible step to try and fix it a bit, with no luck. I've sanded the edge, placed something inside the controller to make up for empty space, I've even sanded the D-Pad itself. Nothing helps.

I'm even having trouble with the analog. It seems to work fine for 3-D games, looking around and all that, but for anything else it's touchy. I'm basically referring to Street Fighter IV. I can pull off Guile's Super move about 15% of the time, I have some trouble with charge characters because it seems like the analog wants to pick up other directions like the D-pad does.

Can anyone recommend a good third party controller aside from the sticks and fight pad for Street Fighter? I'd like a good one that has the same layout as the standard 360 controller. :help:
