I am really enjoying this website, and taking the time to download as much as possible, and will back up to DVD to keep memories. I was just thinking I had soooo many rare and old gaming magazines but while I was in the military my mom asked if she could throw away the magazines to make room for something so my HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS of gaming magazines were thrown away, and at the time I said okay, now I wish I never had said okay, I had in some great conditions rare magazines by today standards. Also I may have been able to help the cause with this site.

Good job to Phillyman and the rest of the people who keep this site up. Last I heard years ago this site was only Nintendo Power glad to see the spread of magazines going way beyond.

No worries. It's not like you had the only copy in existence. Plus, you can still help by either donating funds to keep the site running or purchasing magazines off Ebay and scanning those.

You would not believe how many times people find out about this site AFTER ditching their magazines. Wives are the biggest cause of retro magazines ending up in landfills

Tell me about it.

I dumped a huge collection of pr_n into a landfill before I got married along with an even bigger collection of war comics/mags. No second hand bookshops would offer more than pittance for them at the time so I took the attitude that I'd rather just dump them than have them make a truckload off my collecting while I got next to nothing. Another young guy was at the tip doing the same thing and he had an even bigger collection of "classic" pr_n mags than me. LOL

Now those same mags would net me a small fortune on EBAY. Especially my collection of "Famous Monsters of Filmland" mags I dumped. I just about cried when I saw the price those things were fetching recently on EBAY. Sigh!!!!
