A college or er gamer in need of help

College is such a hassle <_< and requires lots of time and effort; the 10 page paper, the project that makes no sense, preparation for a 1 hour presentation, 5 hour internships, and the professor that lectures word for word from the book. when i get home i don't have time to pick up the control to enter the Animus =p or finish closing the last gate of Oblivion. Instead i get on the computer typing out notes, reading $100 books that comes out with a new edition every semester that's worth a $40 increase to the previous price, and i get lack of sleep because i have to wind down first.

How do some of you current college students balance the two? A gamer in need of help.

Man, that's a good movie...!

It seems like the college friends I have left are either always up or have some strange schedule that makes it so I never see them. My one friend is constantly awake every night until 5 AM. I know that he plays a few games online somewhere in that timeframe.

It doesn't sound very healthy and I wish you the best of luck!

Sleep is over-rated...and of course if you eat rice for a week (by adding wierd little things into it like red pepper flakes to change the taste) you can afford a new game.

Besides, if you work hard enough during the week you can get all kinds of game time in on the weekend (or welcome to real life after you graduate approach)

After going through 4-5 years of hardcore studying, it really does pay off when you can secure a decent job and have the entire weekend to blow. My advice is to be patient and work your ass off because if you don't, you'll be sorry the rest of your life. College does come to an end eventually and when it does, it will feel like you have way too much free time again, like you did in junior high :)

All of you made valid good points and of course i'm enjoying my college life. its that when i was younger back in elementary school two things kept my occupied, making friends at school and video games were my two social activities. of course, times change alot can happen in a year now i learned how to balance both my social college life and gamer life. sometimes i do wonder, as a game nerd how is the gaming world doing without me around. i do miss being in video game realms like Princess Peach's castle or the Esper World or an island full of awesome dinosaurs that helped a baby get across dangerous worlds to the mushroom kingdom. *Sigh* and i recently relive something that brought back memories over the summer when i played this game, it hit home hard and it got me thinking of "going back" to my old school self. It was when i played MetalGearSolid4, return to Shadow Moses.
