Since the Gameboy's original release in 1989 in Japan and 1991 in USA & Canada it has managed to sell 200+ million units worldwide with over 650 games. The game that was packed with deluxe models received a copy of Tetris, created by a mathematician in Russia, A Nintendo executive noticed it in 1988 and new it was the perfect game to compliment the Gameboy. This was one of the wisest decisions in game history.

In 1997, Game Boy Pocket was released with a better quality "clear" LCD screen and a smaller size. It was much lighter than the original. This continued the development of Gameboy games and other peripherals including the world's smallest cameras and a printer.

Gamespot had a 50 best Gameboy games special feature which I believe had to do with the 20 year birthday of the Japanese release. If your like me and can't remember out of the 650 games which ones are worth your time you should look through here and take notes.
