News from: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10396623-1.html

The new firmware, which will bring Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm to the console, will be available for download this Tuesday, November 17.

In addition to these services, Microsoft will be rolling out Zune Video, which promises instant-on 1080p video streaming as well as 5.1 surround sound.

We should note that Twitter, Last.fm, and Facebook will require an Xbox Live Gold membership ($50/year) and both Twitter and Facebook services require all users to be at least 18 years of age.

If you aren't a member of Xbox Live Gold, a free preview weekend will begin November 20, at 12 p.m. ET and run until November 23, at 12 p.m. ET.

Let's hope it doesn't cause further hardware errors.

I was ecstatic to hear that last.fm would be supported. I've used it for about 6 years now, but it seems you can't listen to last.fm while playing games, which to me is fail. I probably won't end up using it as much due to that alone.

The Facebook thing is kind of neat and has a lot of options. I don't have a Twitter account nor will I so that's nothing I care much about.

Facebook is a harvester of your information and now that they have moved into your child's bedroom, their will be no limit to the evil that will transpire from this. The Internet is a gateway to hell. It was also plagued with holes and inabilities since it was introduced in the 60's. Nothing has changed, and nobody is safe. We need to start building the net all over again. It can be done, it has started and I'm all for it.

**** the Internet, **** Facebook and **** all scammers.
