I was laid off on Mar. 16 09 and am expecting call back in a month or two from what I am hearing from the plant I am/was a Machinist among other things...so hopefully 2010 will be much better for me than 09 was by any stretch.

So what R ur thoughts on 2010

Good news on the call back. That's too long of a workless stretch. It's hard on alot of things. Learning how to go to sleep at 10pm and stay asleep to 6:30 is the big one.

Do you get any discount on bolts? They are expensive if a job needs 1000 of them. It could range from 500-1000 dollars or more. I always seem to run out of M8's and M6's, for computer sizes.

I can't say 2009 sucked because there have been worse times even when I was working full time. 2010 is a school year for me. I have to take Mathematics A & B 30 as well as Calculus to gain entry to a Programming course at our University this fall. It's all online so this works well for me.

I'm also going to continue editing and archiving my television & Movie archive. There's an endless amount of scanning I have planned and the work around here keeps me busy. My dad and I are renovating a house conveniently located next door to us and he is paying me well for my work there as I have a great deal of experience with framing.

As Spock says, "Live well and prosper".

Yeah, that's good news about the call back, I hope it work's out for you tinman.

2009 was pretty good for me, especially as I was in a really scary traffic accident but somehow managed to escape with nothing more serious than a sprained wrist.

I'm really looking forward to 2010 and I hope to do some travelling if I can get the time and the fund's. This year is looking pretty good in relation to gaming too with game's like Mass Effect 2, Super Street Fighter IV and BioShock 2 on the horizon. :)

I was laid off (accountant) late December 2008 and still out of work. :) Enjoying it for the most part, but my schedule is out of wack and my mental state is from one extreme to another. I want to start my own online business, but it takes a while to learn PHP, MySQL, Javascript... I've spent months reading books and learning new things. Plus, I still want to study for the CPA exam which I haven't taken even though I've been out of college 4 years. It's amazing all things you can't do while you're working because you're a slave to the company. I really like having the ability for self improvement and enlightenment. So, it looks like I have to go back to work eventually, which I hate, since my benefits will end sometime just before or at the end of summer. But I still have my dream that someday I won't have to.
