Just wanted to let everybody who uses that site know, Replacementdocs has returned. Apparently, a hacker (or script kiddie more than likely) found a security hole in the site and was using it to spam out casino ads, so the host pulled the plug after getting complaints. But they're all back up and running again!! :)

Yeah, that's great news, thank's for the head's up Areala. Replacementdocs was down for so long that I wasn't sure if it was going to come back but I'm glad it has as I need to check out the Sonic & Knuckles manual and the Turok manual for the N64. And now I can. Yay. :)

I scanned my Turok Dinosaur Hunter manual for the N64 and the quality is pretty high as mine weighs in at 13MB's compared to the one over there which is 1.7MB's. Mine has the pages side by side though as I scanned both at the same time. Let me know if you want it though and I'll upload it to my MU account and fire you off the link.

Were they doing maintenance at replacementdocs?

Speaking of high quality scans. When I first got Adobe Creative Suite three, I also got the Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign textbooks. I scanned the Illustrator book at 300 dpi. There was almost 500 pages and the file size is 550 Megabytes. I made a PDF of it. Then I later found another copy on the internet of the same book but it was only 89 Megabytes. I had to download it and see. His was readable but mine could be zoomed in with lots of colour data to look at.

No, they got a case of security exploit and had to get it taken care of. They were down nearly a month while Sleepy got the site back up and running. :)

Is their site down again? Anytime I try to go there, I get an HTTP 403 error, "This website declined to show this webpage" and says the most likely cause is that it requires me to log in...but I'm never prompted for a log in; I can't even get the main page to display. I've tried clearing my internet cache, different browsers (I've tried IE, Chrome and Firefox; the latter two don't even give me the 403 error, I just get a blank white page), and even different PCs, and I get the same result. It has been this way for at least a few weeks now. Anyone hear any news on this?

Strange, it's working fine for me (Firefox 3.6.7). Maybe your isp got blocked or is blocking it for some reason?
