Has Anyone Bought Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Yet?

I am thinking of picking up Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing for the Nintendo Wii this weekend. While I love Mario Kart Wii, I feel like I need something different every once in a while. Its ashame that ExciteBots Trick Racing was only a 2 player game...as it would have probably kept things interesting. Anyways this looks to just be a complete clone of Mario Kart Wii, just with Sega characters.

I am hoping that it controls the same way as Mario Kart, with the Wii Wheel. I really shouldn't spend another $40 on a game, as I just spent $20 last night on Virtual Console games (Super Mario Kart, Kirby Adventure, Super Metroid) Plus I have a huge ass backlog of games to play right now. So anyone get a chance to play this yet, or pick up a copy?

Oh F*** Yeah! I'm gonna rent it before I purchase it. The Wii version is the best out of the three versions, then XBox 360 and PS3.

The reviews are better than I expected too. Gamespot is giving it I think 8.3 and readers average is at 8.2. I hate the name Sega & Sonic All-Star Racing but I have been waiting for months for it to be released.

It's a good thing you posted this because I probably would have forgot.

I played the 360 demo. Apart from Sonic being the slowest character in the game, it was okay. I am not a big fan of kart racing, but I found this game less annoying than Mario Kart Wii. But I don't think I will be picking it up. The only kart racing game I might get in the future is Mod Nation Racers for the PS3.
