I totally adore the art for this game... the design and animation for the lead mech is incredible for it's time. In fact, the entire design of the game is fairly ingenuous. It's a crying shame that it never got any real recognition, above being the flagship "underrated NES title" along with Guardian Legend.

And... honestly, deep down, I would kill for a toy of that mech...
