My daughters Caterpie evloved to a Metapod!

Now I've not done this since I was in kindergarten, but I found a really cool looking caterpillar and decided since my daughter was in kindergarten that I would show her what happens when you cage the larva up. It's a Pipevine Swallowtail and was just a really cool looking caterpillar. Little did I know that it was a real-life Pokemon. Hopefully it's a male because they become a beautiful black and blue butterfly. I grabbed a picture to put on my facebook page but I thought I'd share it here as well.

My daughter's brain is a sponge right now so anything I can shove in there I've been trying. This is one of those things that I think all children should get the experience, I still remember when I was in kindergarten doing that same thing.
