List the 10 best SNES games you ever played. Your opinion, I don't give a crap what anybody else on the 'Net says, hold them out proudly. Show us your mettle. Ten SNES titles. You can do this, people. Make me proud. :)

I don´t think I have ten SNES games that I enjoyed enough to compile a top ten, so here´re the ones I can think of.

1. Super Mario World (the peak of the Mario games in my opinion)

2. Super Mario All Stars (if that counts as a SNES game)

3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

4. F-Zero

Man, I really need to get myself more SNES games.

Super Metroid! I forgot to add that one.

hello all,I have come to lead the spider, thank you

Well I'm glad someone finally stepped up to lead the spider! It was starting to worry me.. I also like that his name is Partick and not Patrick.

I suppose I'll add my two cents:

1. EarthBound

2. EVO - Search for Eden

3. Legend of the Mystical Ninja

4. Joe & Mac

5. Jurassic Park

6. MegaMan X2

7. Donkey Kong Country

8. Metal Max Returns(not released in USA, but great)

9. Pilotwings

10. Super Double Dragon

No particular order, and I skipped the more oft-heard of titles. This is more of an off-beat list for me. I'm sure anyone would say Super Mario World, LttP, Final Fantasy III, etc. so I decided to pass on them this time around. Besides, these are the games I end up popping in for something fresh when it's SNES time.

No order, except for the first one:

1. Super Mario World

Super Castlevania IV

Super Mario All-Stars

Super Mario RPG

Final Fantasy II

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Donkey Kong Country

Super Double Dragon

I don't remember most of the other games I played that could be considered top 10 games.

I won't include Super Mario All-Stars because it is a compilation of games.

Here's my top-10:

1) Super Metroid

2) Super Mario World

3) Zelda III: A Link to the Past

4) Contra III: The Alien Wars

5) Street Fighter II Turbo

6) Super Mario Kart

7) Star Fox

8) Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures

9) Super Punch Out!!

10) Mortal Kombat II (The single player AI is ultra cheap, but playing against a buddy is really fun)

I can't put these in any kind of order. I love them all.

- Super Mario Kart (still the best in the whole series)

- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

- Super Punch-Out

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

- Final Fight (an arcade port, but still an amazing game so early in the system's life)

- Super Mario RPG

- Super Bomberman (great 4-player fun)

- Legend of the Mystical Ninja

- Zombies Ate My Neighbors

- Contra III: The Alien Wars (even better than the NES versions)

Nintendo, Konami, and Capcom were by far my favorite video game companies back in the day.

Well I'm glad someone finally stepped up to lead the spider! It was starting to worry me.. I also like that his name is Partick and not Patrick.

I remember getting Super Double Dragon for my birthday when it first came out, and I hated it. However it was a new game (which was rare to get in my childhood), so I played it like crazy, and it really grew on me! It would definitely be in my Top 20 SNES games.

I loved Jurassic Park too, but I never had time to beat it due to the lack of a save feature. What a ridiculous oversight! Another one that would surely be in my Top 20.

The more thought I give, this is probably the best console age in terms of replay value for me.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV-- know a better brawler for SNES?

2. Secret of Mana

3. Breath of Fire I

4. Final Fantasy (II and III I hold in equal regard)

5. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (I got the original in 3rd Grade!)

6. Knights of the Round

7. Dirt Trax FX

8. Legend of the Mystical Ninja

9. Chrono Trigger

10. Gradius III

Looking up, I see their are some really spectacular games I didn't mention.. Kudos on Pilot Wings!

I love these top 10 lists. Keep in mind that I was not an RPG gamer back when I played a lot of SNES, so that is why my list is devoid of Square's finest:

1. Super Metroid

2. Super Mario World

3. Zelda 3

4. Contra 3

5. Mega Man X

6. Donkey Kong Country 2

7. Street Fighter 2 Turbo

8. Batman Returns

9. Super Star Wars (series)

10. TMNT 4: Turtles In Time

must've missed this on the last go 'round. Here's mine. if i left something obvious off, it's probably because i straight up forgot.

disclaimer: i have not played Super Metroid and i am not an RPG fan, so keep that in mind.

10.  Shaq-Fu  (ok, just seeing if everyone was paying attention)

9.  F-Zero

8.  NBA Jam: Tournament Edition

7.  Super Mario Kart

6.  Mortal Kombat II

5.  Mega Man X

4.  TMNT 4: Turtles in Time

3.  Donkey Kong Country

2.  Super Mario World

1.  The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

now that my list has been made, i checked out the rest of the thread. Obviously i missed Super CastleVania IV and StarFox.  i should really give Super Punch-Out!! a chance, the Mike Tyson NES version is one of my faves. Super Mario RPG is rather fun as well.
