Crc Errors On Burned Data Dvds

Anyone know why I get this? I burned a number of DVD-DL's using Nero 6 and a couple different drives and speeds, and every few discs randomly, not from the same hardware, gave me an error copying the information to my hdd. These discs are still pricey;( Any help? thanks!

I don't have any experience burning toi dual layer media myself but the people on the forum at videohelp.com could probably help you out.

I have never burned to DVD-DL's, just DVD+DL's. The only variable left would be disc quality, so I would likely see if I could take the remaining media back as defective.

I have a big problem with Nero 7 burning video DVDs, I'm going back to the full version of Nero 6. I really never had a problem with it before. Except with 7. Did you add extra dlls to it?

Nero is becoming waaay too bloated ......I liked Version 6 .....But i think 7 is overkill

Try Alcohol 120% ......its a nice small DVD/CD burning program

Yeah I use Alcohol 120% for images, but for file burning what's best?

updating your burners firmware can sometimes help. i dont like Nero 7 as much as Nero 6 either.

also, i noticed that crc errors occur more in certain brands than others(depends on your writer) and you can try burning to around just around 95% of the total capacity of the disc since most crc errors occur at the edge of the discs
