Computer Shopper
Computer Shopper started life as a tabloid-size publication in 1979 focused on reader-submitted classified ads for computer kits, software, hardware, and BBS sites. In the 80's, it expanded into a full-fledged hobbyist magazine directed towards the sales of pre-built machines and advertisements for hardware both recently released and coming soon. It was sold to Ziff Davis in 1995, then to CNET five years later in 2000. CNET sold it to SX2 Media Labs in 2006, which continued publishing it as a print magazine until 2009, when it went the all-digital route until finally being discontinued in 2017.
