-
Grossman's editorial is right on the money with regards to how companies have redefined the concept of replayability over the years, including the dirty trick of forcing you to replay a game several times in order to consider it truly finished. Even if you skip the editorial content regularly, give this one a read.
-
Much like Tips & Tricks, Expert Gamer runs a metric ton of cheats for every system in their magazines, so we're not indexing them all in the interest of keeping this entry easier to read.
-
The strategy guides in this issue are well worth the price of admission, especially for Parasite Eve which includes an item list and general strategies for beating the EX-Game, something many other magazines didn't offer.
-
That said, this issue is extremely PlayStation-heavy. Nintendo and Sega gamers have almost no reason to pick up this issue, save for the copious tricks sections.
-
The ending screen pictured in the 'Guess the Game Ending' contest is from Metal Gear (NES). Travel back through time to November 1998 with this information and you could win an Expert Gamer t-shirt!
-
This issue is supposed to come with a poster, but I don't have it. If someone else knows what that poster is for, please fill it in above.
