Despite having a cover price of $2.50, this strategy guide was never available for purchase. It shipped as a supplement to Nintendo Power #9.
The guide prints statistics for all weapons, armor, items, spells, and monsters found in the game. It also includes maps of every dungeon, and a pull-out world map bound in the center. It's meant to walk you through about the first quarter of the game, roughly up until you reach the town of Garinham. From there, you're on your own. Of course, if you purchased your copy of Dragon Warrior in the US (possibly as part of your Nintendo Power subscription bonus), it shipped with a full-fledged strategy guide and fold-out map sheet that made this tiny guide obsolete.
The book had three editors: Gail Tilden, Pam Sather, and Howard Phillips are all credited on page 3, while Scott Pelland is credited with writing it.
