  1. I have a TON of Next Generations, Unfortunately I am soo tied up in other projects that these will fall to the back of my list :(
  2. I would say scan whatever you have, or take a look around Ebay. You will want to scan it at 300DPI....take a look at the link in my signature for tips. Also if its stapled together there is no good reason to debind the magazine. If the magazine is missing pages or pieces of pages I would say to work on other magazines first. Always glad to see someone else join the cause
  3. Today we hit 5000 Downloads for the Download Section. Our download section was installed on November 23rd, and 92 days later we hit our 5000 mark, Which means we average 54 downloads per day! If we keep up at this rate this upcoming November 23rd we should be up to 14,835 Downloads! We are currently home to 239 magazines which take up 16495.53MB (16GB). Here are some interesting facts! Largest File (199.01MB) GamePro Issue 064 November 1994 Most Views (189) Club Nintendo Strategy Guide (UK) Most Downloaded (63) GamePro Issue 071 June 1995 Total Bandwidth To Date 355262.1MB (355GB) Keep up the great work

  5. Between this and Smash Bros.....I may not get any scanning done
  6. I stopped paging through it once I found out it had missing pages. Its not of a concern right now as I have 90+ EGM magazines to list out. I will compile a list at the end of any missing pages that need to be found
  7. My Issue 99 has a missing page So we now need EGM Issue 099 (October 1997)
  8. For some odd reason Yahoo Mail is blocking any emails for Registrations and PM Notifications. -Phillyman

  12. Yea just what I said ......1999
  13. Honestly I am starting to doubt any reason to go past 1999 for some magazines. Once you get to Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox.....its not really Retro anymore....So anything past it is not a priority for me at this time
  14. Just bought all 12 Issues of EGM for 1998
  15. Just wondering if there are any Anime lovers on here? I must admit that 3 years ago I can distinctly remember busting a guys balls because he liked anime. Then one day I got addicted to it myself. Its not like traditional cartoons that you would find in the states, these shows are geared toward a much older crowd. Anyways I am caught up in this show right now (just hit episode 160) Bleach This show starts off a little slow, but by episode 15 you will not be able to turn it off. I started watching when it had about 40 episodes....and I caught up within 3 days
  16. I am going to redo the Frequently Asked Questions thread, to update the changes to this site. Is there anything you guys want answered or explained? Any part of the site confusing or you dont know how to do something? Feel free to ask
  17. Monkeybot has scheduled a time to meet up with me this coming Sunday and Donate the following magazines to Retromags for preservation! Make sure to give him a BIG thanks
  18. He may have stopped any work on his website, but he is still alive and kicking (Thanks Again MagWeasel) http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2008/02/column...seling_nint.php
  19. I am sure we could just go to MagWeasels house and steal his collection
  20. Well thats a difficult question, better asked to 420 himself. Retromags would never take any magazine found on the internet and try to pass it off as ours. Take for example Atari Age... Even though all 11 issues were scanned by www.atariage.com, we would never just pick them up and put them on Retromags. Same deal with the person who scanned 2 years worth of Gamepro's over at UG. We would not like to see our scans being passed off as others work.....so we try to do the same. Anyways 420 and myself had a falling out, it happens sometimes when you have 2 people with strong personalities. I would not be opposed to putting our differences behind us, but it takes 2 people to do so. So basically the answer is "Yes" we will rescan all the Nintendo Players Guides that 420 has already done. For those wondering exactly what happened between myself and 420.....it basically came down to me feeling as though he was doing his own project and only coming to this site to recruit people for his cause. I will admit that the way things ran back when 420 was a part of Retromags was less then efficient. We didn't have the Download Manager so everything was uploaded to an FTP which caused a lot of confusion. 420 just felt distant from the whole Retromags project and we were getting into silly fights over things such as the payouts in the Casino (one game was paying out millions...because of a bug) which when I fixed the bug he kinda freaked out.
  21. *Thinks about the jobs they will be assigned*
  22. I drink coffee twice a day, one cup in the morning so I dont get into an accident on the parkway, and then I drink some Iced Coffee in the afternoon for a pick me up. Coffee is like beer, You have to develop a pallet for it. I started drinking coffee back in High School because the taste alone was soo bitter that it would wake me up. Now that I have a pallet for coffee I can appreciate all the flavors and such. If I ever hit the lottery, I am going to have a Starbucks built inside my mansion and it will be run by Russian, Sweedish, South American and Chinese Super models I just don't know how to tell the girlfriend about this yet ....lol
  23. Need 5 More People to Become Lifetime Members and we have the missing 2 issues of NFC
