Many people think Final Fantasy VII is great because it's the first one they played. If they had played VI they wouldn't have thought that highly of the game, I mean it's a good game but far from being the best Final Fantasy.
Too bad the SMS didn't take off. It's always the same problem for SEGA, no good third party games. But the system was great. Just like the Dreamcast :(
Halo as a game isn't bad but I really hate how the fan boys have made me hate it with alll the crap merchandise. It's overrated. And if you disagree with me, I bet you don't have a girlfriend.
I found that the internet age made some games better. Like those silly games you could never finish because you had to use that certain tool in that certain place that no one knew why or what the hell. Being able to search for help on those tight spots made some of those impossible games become a bit better. With magazines you had to pray they would mention something.
I regret having sold my Game Gear 10 years ago. I always thought it was system with great potential. I had the AC power adapter that made the console not as portable but free from the heavy battery use. It had some great games. Too bad it didn't catch on.
Just like the Dreamcast. I think the Virtual Boy is better as a retro console than what it was back in the day they were released. Sometimes like good wine, you can't appreciate things until they age. Either the console or us.
