  1. Since I can't yet post in the Buying/Selling section and have spam-posted enough as it is, I figure I'll put this thread in here. For quite some time now I've been trying to find a copy of GameNow #22, the August 2003 edition. Looks like so: It's been driving me nuts how unavailable it seems to be, especially since it's the last one I need for my little collection. I'm hoping for an actual copy of the magazine (and will pay more than I should for it), but I'll take a scan as well. Anyone got what I need, or can at least point me in the right direction?
  2. Wish I'd known about this site when I was going through my collection and getting them out of my house. Would've worked better here than the library donation bin (well, maybe; I think the vast majority of my collection, which was EGMs and Nintendo Powers from the last 7 or 8 years, is too recent for folks' needs here).
  3. Good to know! I'm also a bit curious how my second-post edit ended up in the original post, that seems a bit strange to me.
  4. I think the last DVDs I got were for Tremors IV and A Town Called Panic (everyone seek out the latter, it is amazing), and that's only because they aren't available on Blu-Ray. As time goes by I don't see that being a common reason, but there's still enough obscure films out there that may never get the format upgrade.
  5. I've been buying a fair amount of Blu-Rays lately, but most haven't been new buys so much as upgrades for movies that were just DVDs in my collection (in retrospect I shouldn't have waited so long to upgrade to Blu, since it means more movies to replace). I think the most recent "new" new movies that I've gotten have been Four Lions, Summer Wars, Monsters, Sideways, Dark City, and Up in the Air. Excellent films, each and every one of them.
  6. Guess I should say something in here. Hi all, just popping in from my usual lurking activities. In what I imagine is counter to the general idea of the site, I'm not as big a collector as I used to be (mostly due to room reorganizing leading to the vast majority of my collection heading to the donation bin at the library), but back in the day I had some fairly extensive collections of Game Informer, EGM, Nintendo Power, and OXM (all old magazines to us young folk, I assure you). Now I'm just trying to stay in touch with the old days (if that makes any sense at all).
  7. Oh hey, it does say when I joined. Dunno how I missed that And that's entirely possible, though I feel like I've only signed up once here. Whatever the case, I'm here now. Here now for the moment, at least, is what I meant to say. I see I still have to unlock the Edit button.
  8. Really cool pupa stage. All I can recall having in Kindergarten were silk worms, which (while soft and awesome on their own), had a fairly dull, cheetos-puffs-minus-the-color style pupa stage.
  9. Can't for the life of me remember how I found this site, or even when I signed up for it. But I found a email that said I hadn't visited in a while (a nice touch for a forum, I think), so I figured I'd take a look around. Or just continue to lurk a bit, I'm good at that.
