  1. I'd call them lots of things, but not necessary unofficial. A Capcom developed Zelda game, that I have no problem with, but these Philips abominations... Let me put it like this, I love classic games and have even bought a Jaguar just to play Tempest 2000, but even I have no desire to ever get a CDi to play any games. Not even if someone offered it for free. :fear:
  2. I just got a GameBoy Light a couple of months ago, love the thing. Much better for playing classic GameBoy games in bed at night, instead of having to screw around with a worm light or something. A GBA SP fixes that problem, but it's not exactly the same playing the old games on it if you know what I mean. The Micro is also a great little system. Very nice screen and I love the buttons. I would actually prefer that Nintendo uses the buttons in their other systems as well. I love my 2 Virtual Boy's despite there not being many games on it. Galactic Pinball is a must. Wario Land is great as well and I really enjoy Tennis, Vertical force and Teleroboxer as well. Red alarm is nice and Space Squash is great fun but would be much better in 2 player mode. If you come across a copy of Space Invaders for a decent price, don't pass it up as it can go for between $300-$600. I got mine for €290....... :shuriken:
  3. If there is interest for UK Club Nintendo issues like seen in the download section, I'm willing to bid for them if people are willing to chip in. (a bit low on funds right now) There are 4 issues and they are going for 2.50 pounds right now. Auction ends in 7 days, so let me know.
  4. Oh wow. that's great! Just looked it up on play.com and they are pricing the pre-order at €39. :unhappy: If it drops under €30 I'll pick it up. I might have done it otherwise if it wasn't for the fact that there are so many games coming out on the Wii and DS the next couple of months that I will buy on day one. Not to mention I'm trying to save up for a Macbook Pro.
  5. The complete Super Play set has just arrived and all the mags are in pretty much perfect condition! Now I only have to wait for the full set of MegaTech to arrive as it has been reshipped after the postal service sent it back to the UK after being missing for 3 weeks...
  6. Just found this movie: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30659.html there are several on the site now actually. And you can take it from me, it's certainly no DC port or even a remake. It's a totally different game with the same concept and the same arcade style. The locations are completely new and the game looks very nice as well.
  7. Oh, there are 2 versions? And they have their own packaging. Very nice. we had a special edition of both Mario Kart and The Wind Waker where one had Zelda: Collector Edition and the other had OOT: Master Quest and MM. But both were simply double disc boxes. And if you'd like to go for a complete set you will also need Twilight Princess on GC which is completely mirrored compared to the Wii game and the GBC version of Link's Awakening which has an extra color based dungeon. Not sure if you'd want it, but you might even include Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/3431575/-/Product.html?searchstring=Tingle&searchsource=0). It's more of a spin of, but still much more part of the Zelda universe than the CDi games. Only was released in Japan an Europe though.
  8. Don't forget OOT the master quest which came with Wind Waker in Europe. Could be that it was a pre-order bonus in the States, I'm not sure. And there's also the Game&Watch game.
  9. No single magazine is worth $250 to me, although I have paid over €250 for games before and will do again (NeoGeo :blushing: ), but that's a whole other mess.
  10. So looking forward to this. Not sure if Ed Lomas was on board from the get go, as I remembered freaking out to see him pop up in the magazine later on. (I only bought the regular DreamCast magazine up till that point as the official one was hard to find over here, and when a copy came into the shop, it always was more than twice as expensive as the regular one) As for what to do next, I'll send a PM with more details.
  11. I also love British magazines a lot. Since I grew up on EGM, CVG and the French Joypad, which in retrospect ripped off Mean Machines both in style and attitude. Got into the OSSM much to late in it's life cycle sadly enough. But recently I've been discovering many other magazines by EMAP, which I love reading. Which isn't all that surprising since magazines for several console generations were being written by the same bunch of people who moved around between the various mags. I was very surprised when I found this out but also very happy since I loved reading their articles. This way I have a whole bunch of new mags with hundreds upon hundreds of articles which I can't wait to read through now.
  12. Got a bunch of even better ones, but they aren't really related.
  13. Nah, don't get me wrong, I love the level despite it being very intimidating at first. It really tests your skills, as well as your sanity. You just have to get a feel for how to progress through it and above all stay focussed and don't rush things. There's plenty of time and you only need 100 coins, not all 150.
  14. Phew, finally got to the Luigi's Purple coin challenge in the Toy galaxy and actually finished it after 10 or so tries. Now my hands are shaking like a madman. Time to take a chill pill methinks. :cat: Now I finally understand how that level drove certain people mad.
  15. If you love Sega games and you got the zapper that comes with Link's Crossbow Training, you should look into getting Ghost Squad. Picked it up yesterday along with Zack And Wiki and I love it. Gun games always get shot down for having little replay value, but this one certainly counters those arguments. There are so many unlockables, extra modes, different paths and difficulty settings, which gradually open up as you play the game more. It's almost impossible to play the same game twice in a row. Can't wait for House Of the Dead remake as well, even though that release probably be straight ports without much, if any extras.
  16. Must have took a long time to put together, but the result is very nice: linky Notice that the video is actually a 2D recreation of the actual GDC 07 official SMG trailer:
  17. Hehe, he's not alone. When Sega Bass Fishing was released over here in Europe bundled with the official fishing rod I paid €150 on release day for it. I'm gonna pick up the Wii sequel when it drops in price, which I think will happen pretty fast. It might sound like the least fun you can have with a videogame, but somehow it's quite captivating, almost hypnotic. One more thing, just remembered that Fire Emblem is also being released over here in Europe next month. Oh boy...
  18. Oh, forgot about Sega Superstar Tennis. Damn I never gonna be able to save enough money for my Macbook Pro with all these games coming out... Small MK trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/179773.html
  19. Not here. Mine will be No More Heroes since it's not out yet for a couple of weeks. The The House Of The Dead: 2 & 3 Return and Okami, possibly Worms: A Space Oddity and after that I'll be ready for April, which means Mario Kart. We might have to put up a MK friends code thread once the game is released.

  22. Oh no, not at all. I'm actually pretty embarrassed about my huge backlog. RPGs are the worst though. I got Hoshigami on DS a a while back and played it for about 8 hours, then Luminous Arc came out, so I didn't want to pass it up and not being able to find a copy later one. Started playing that for a couple hours and now Advance Wars has just been released. :pinch: The list just goes on and on. The trouble is that I seem to have less and less time these days, and when I finally do get time to play games, I tend to do other things and regret it later. One positive note though, since I decided to just stick to a DS and a Wii it's been a bit more manageable. (Have a PSP but pretty much only play WipEout). On the other hand I love retro games so much I can't stop buying classic Japanese imports, so the backlog keeps growing. I'm still only at 70 or so stars in Mario Galaxy even though I love the game so much and I'm constantly thinking about going back to play it some more. Perhaps I should try and get fired, that way I'll have a bit more spare time.
  23. I know what you mean, I was taking it slowly through Zelda as well and once I finally finished it, it was very bittersweet as I didn't want the game to end. Although I got Zelda on the DS, I'm getting sidetracked by Advance Wars and Geometry Wars. I simply don't want to share Phantom Hourglass's playtime with another adventure or RPG so I'm saving it until I get a bit more time. Possible summer.
  24. hehe, no problem. Let me know what you need when you get to them. I have a whole bunch of EGMs packed away so I might be able to help out with several issues.
