  1. I'm in the same area, and yeah, it's extremely hit or miss. Best chance is independent game shops, or else really going through flea markets with a fine-toothed comb. Depending on your area, I found a some OPM's in the 400 market near Barrie, a couple Game Developers deep in Dixie Flea Market in Mississauga, and some inCite magazines with a bunch of other men's interest magazines *cough* at another flea market, but mostly strategy guides at stores like Good Time Games or Microplay in K/W and Guelph. I've pulled on thing from a thrift store, a guide for Rise of Nations. Not a big find, but the price of 50 cents was OK. I would definitely recommend collector's markets though. The aforementioned independent stores will advertise them, if not out right sponsor them, and they will have anything and everything. Heavier on Nintendo stuff, but some other magazines or guides. For this, I would recommend Brody's Gaming in Guelph, they sponsor a lot and keep a large stock of guides; that said, their staff is every bad stereotype of a game shop employee, so I try to minimize my direct shopping with them.
  2. What an odd coincidence, just playing through this now. Hmm, and this would beat random IGN articles for sticky bits...
  3. Near the end of the year, so time for the audit. New and improved from last year, as I compared it to what's on the NAS. As before, if it's struck out, it's been posted by team members already, and if I left anything out, yell. Magazine totals are now bolded so we can tell the series apart a little easier, along with a counter of how many issues are left to process. I also just can't find some of the things listed in previous checks. Excellent work over the last year. Definitely over the crest, which is good, since now we have E-Day/dablais's mighty stash as well.

The guitar instrument fad was brief, maybe 5 years in total, but I still think about it a lot. It introduced me to a lot of music, and it was a great social game. This standalone magazine came out just before it got over-saturated and died out. I blame Activision for that, they just released an endless amount of Guitar Hero until everyone was sick of it. That said, it seemed like retailers we're always upset at the amount of inventory space the instruments took up. Ironic, considering most of that is Funko Pops now. Anyways, this is a little curiosity from that time. the history of the Guitar Hero franchise previews for Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 technique tips for playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band an article on how Harmonix goes about licensing songs a retrospective on older rhythm games a guide on beating The Devil Went Down to Georgia in Guitar Hero 3 cheat codes for various Guitar Hero and Rock Band games interviews with Slash, Joe Perry, and some of the session musicians of WaveGroup spotlights on music game accessories, real music accessories, and energy drinks

  8. Nope, I've got nothing to do with those. Come to think of it, not sure where I got it. Maybe I was thinking of it sub-consciously.

  13. Surprising they went as long as they did, what with all news and reviews online now, for better or for worse. I grabbed a couple recent issues of PC Gamer, they we're fine, but I was struck but how much of a skeleton crew it is. I guess that makes sense, if it's just the UK edition retreaded.
