  1. I own a PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS. My PC though getting old can play at least some next gen games. Love playing Uncharted 2 co-op online, very addictive.
  2. There are no games I would never play, just some I would have trouble playing so have put off attempting yet, others I never had a chance to play. Super Mario 64 ( Never had the right console but will try it on the DS eventually) Final Fantasy games (Like watching others play them, love the FMV's, not that fond of RPG's) Crash Bandicoot games (will get around to them eventually) I usually play new games now, and what time I have when I feel up to playing games gets shorter and shorter, but I still occasionally play PS1 games. Odds are I will eventually play at least one Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy game, not in any hurry though.
  3. While l would have liked to have seen the issues from 2000 included in the retromags collection l am fine with the decision. However l had thought we would have till February 27th to download those that were to be deleted, they seem to have vanished already could we please have a bit longer to download them.
  4. Scared the life out of me, l wondered who died. Cannot say l like such a dark skin, much prefer the old default.
  5. Did not fool me for one instant.
  6. My ancient scanner is pretty much dead and rarely scans anything these days that is usable, but l will hopefully be getting a new one next month, and do own a few old magazines although nothing that was requested. Unfortunately l have a lot of other scanning commitments, but will do a few gaming magazines as well.
  7. Review posted as Aussie500 Edit - Thanks Phillyman :toast:
  8. l just used this page to download those up to 100, never found any of the later ones, the first 100 issues came to 2.83Gb http://pdf.textfiles.com/zines/CGW/
  9. Thanks for the scans meppi, without your hard work l would not have even realised such a great magazine ever existed, let alone get the opportunity to read all the issues. Also thanks for the link to the download section, that part of the forum seems to have completely escaped my attention, now all l need is to find a magazine to scan.
  10. Chipped Playstation and XBox, but the PS2, gamecube, GBA and XBox360 are not modded at all.
  11. l discovered Retromags while hunting for scans of old Tomb Raider articles, l do not scan much due to technical problems, and usually scan comics, but hope to add at least a few scans to the collection next year.
  12. Hopefully not, perhaps he is a bit late posting things, it would be a pity for them to not arrive.
  13. Thanks l will make an iso, the compatibility news what not good, but hopefully l will get something of the disc.
  14. Well the PC version caused a few problems with the PC, although nothing permanent. The PS2 version caused problems with the PS2, although it never damaged the console and l have played quite a few games on it since (took my ears and nerves a bit to recover though). I am just a bit worried about what the emulator would make of this disc, considering the PS2 itself had trouble playing it. The game is likely going to ask the emulator to do the impossible and it will have a fit and crash, is that the worse l can expect? How does the emulator software behave when asked to do something a PS2 cannot, will it recover or sulk never to play again, l doubt many emulators have been asked to play such rubbish, which is why l was a bit worried it might have a detrimental effect on my PC.
  15. For several years l have wanted to try playing my PS2 version of Tomb Raider - The Angel of Darkness on an emulator for the PC so l can hopefully take screenshots. Now l do own a working PS2, and l actually own a working (debatable sometimes) PC version of the same game. Unfortunately my PS2 version is one of those early releases that does not actually work properly, l managed to get through it once which required about 200 restarts, several months of extreme patience and almost resulted in a nervous breakdown for both console and player. Needless to say l am never playing it on the PS2 again, but l am curious, because my game did do a lot of very strange things, my nerves have recovered now, and curiosity is getting the better of me, l would like to see if l can actually get anything newsworthy from my frisbie. If l go to all the trouble of getting an emulator to work, is there any chance this wretched game can damage my PC, assuming l can even get the emulator to play it. And how do you take screenshots with an emulator? Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone can give.
  16. l voted for more PSM, because l am after articles on a specific game, possibly what l want it already scanned, but l started gaming with the playstation so although EGM and certainly Edge might be better looking and more informative, l am a playstation girl, never owned any of the other earlier consoles.
  17. The map did not seem to recognise my town, so l chose the nearest capital city Hobart. Nice to see some other aussie's on the map.
  18. Thanks for the Official Sega Saturn Magazine scans meppi, personally l do not mind waiting in order to get the next part, good things are always worth waiting for.
  19. l am sure there are plenty of Swedish game fans who would love to read a bit about retro gaming, and yes the rest of us can just look at the pretty pictures. l am currently collecting Tomb Raider related scans which l post on a very large Tomb Raider forum if there is anything interesting in the article l am sure someone is eventually going to tell us, no matter what language the article is in, there is bound to be someone who can read it. The pity is all the current magazines get all the attention and hardly anyone seems interested in the old magazines. :(
