New Release - Electronic Gaming Monthly Issue 72 (July 1995)
E-Day replied to E-Day's topic in New Releases
Looks like I just made your dreams come true then I actually had a scan of this from 2008. I guess it got lost in the shuffle of the multiple rebuilding of our databases and content. It wasn't a great scan so it's probably better that it was absent. Issue 100 isn't on the site yet, but is being released on May 29 -

We have the 1989 Buyer's Guide in the Cover Gallery as Issue 0. The general consensus among anyone who is into gaming magazines is that the May 1989 issue is Issue 1. Some other magazines have had Issue 0s as some sort of preview or test issue. Official Dreamcast Magazine did this if I recall correctly. Seems like EGM did things a bit screwy for their first several issues. The Buyer's Guide is referred to as the 1989 Buyer's Guide in the masthead and issue 1 is referred to as the 1989 Preview Guide, both of which they say they publish annually as a reference directory to EGM. Then they published issue 5 as the 1990 Video Game Buyer's Guide, 7 as Top Score and issue 15 as the 1991 Video Game Buyer's Guide. They didn't get consistent until November 1990.
