I never saw any of those back in the day. I don't know if they had them in Canada, or I just never paid attention. On a side note, I picked up another Eaton's catalogue from the 70's, so that will be four more upcoming, along with a lot of other random stuff. And the usual game magazine releases. I'm spending a lot of time doing this stuff

Normally when I upload the odd non-gaming magazine it gets no attention, which is fine because I upload them for fun and to hopefully slightly bug some people But I am glad that this catalogue is getting a little bit of attention, and even a whole post. Thank you for that. I have three more to release, all from the 70s. I also have several Sear's Canada Wishbooks from 2007 to 2012 I think. The holy grail for me would be Consumer's Distributing. I think if you grew up in Canada while they were around, their catalogue was a cultural thing as a kid.

Cheaper flatbed scanners don't always capture the colour properly, so depending on the scanner some colour adjustment will be needed. Almost nothing comes out perfect from a consumer scanner.

Is the page supposed to look that blue normally? With all the fussing you described it doesn't sound like it's worth the time and effort when you can get a good flatbed scanner and a piece of black construction paper and not have to worry about everything you mentioned, plus it's probably faster.

I am hoping someone here is familiar with Mac OS from back in the day, specifically Mac OS 9. I picked up an old iMac G3 (in blue) this past weekend to play around with. More specifically, the Video Game History Foundation's Frank Cifaldi, aka TheRedEye on this site, put a zip file on Google Drive containing the QuarkXPress files and assets for a page of GamePro magazine that he got off the disks he grabbed from their office when they closed. I could not open the files on legacy version of QuarkXPress for Windows and likewise I cannot get them open on the iMac either. They don't show up in the open dialog box in Quark 3.1, 4.1 or 5. No extension, added extension, nothing works. Now, I am very unfamiliar with Mac OS and how it works, so I am hoping someone here knows something that can help.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a magazine by that name that we don't know about from another country.

I've never seen that before. Maybe it came from a UK magazine if not Nintendo Power?
