  1. GamePro Issue 43 - February 1993 As of May 22 , 2008: 100% Scanned 0% Edited
  2. I could always use $100,000 That's a pretty good idea. OR, I could have the cbr file with everything as is in the mag, and include the flipped pages separately for those who want to replace them in the archive or just want to read them properly on their own. 10% Scanned
  3. GamePro Issue 43 - February 1993 As of May17 , 2008: Scanned: 10% This issue has a pullout strategy section for Art of Fighting and World Heroes. The second half is flipped over, so unless you flip the magazine, you are reading it upside down and starting at page 16. So, should I leave it as is, or flip them and reorder the pages so it's easily readable in a viewer? I am leaning towards leaving it as is to make it as close to having the original magazine as possible. There is also a pullout poster, but I do not think I will remove it and scan it.
  4. Last I heard they were going to publish quarterly, which to me meant the magazine would soon be dead. It's NEVER a good sign when a magazine publishes less frequently. A subscription was still $25/year, but instead of 12 issues, you got 4. And the first issue was a few pages smaller than the monthly issues. I don't even think the site will last all that long if they stopped putting out a print magazine. There are lots of bigname sites, and I don't think this one can compete. I downloaded all the PDF issues at the start of the year and read them all. The layout was fantastic, and some of their features and articles were great, but there was something about it that didn't make the magazine as exciting as it should have been. The layout and page designs reminded me of the good old days of GamePro and to a lessr extent EGM.
  5. I vote for any EGM or GamePro from 1994 or earlier
  6. Prison? What the heck did he do to end up there?
  7. I should be up early enough tomorrow to grab whatever is left that needs grabbing
  8. Too bad these are on RapidShare since they only let you download one file every hour and a half. Otherwise I'd grab them all and upload them to Retromags. I still will, but it will take me quite a while to do because of their limitations, and I don't want to give them any money either.
  9. With the size of games these days, there is no way cartridges will return. They are way too expensive compared to discs, and the bigger the game is, the more pricey the game will be. I mean, Neo-Geo games were a couple hundred bucks each because of the size of the games. The same game for the Neo-Geo CD was affordable. Personally, I don't mind the load times. They aren't as long as they used to be with the Sega CD and PSone, at least not with the Wii. I don't know about the other systems. I admit there is something nice about buying a new cart (DS) compared to a disc, but discs are here to stay until everything is downloadable (which I hope is never). Carts will be relegated to handheld systems made by Nintendo, unless they decide to make the next system disc based.
  10. That, or let me buy a 320GB external HD for peanuts and let me connect it ot the Wii via it's USB ports and let me run WiiWare and VC games from it as well as downloadable content for existing games. That would be ideal, and you would have a ton of space for little money.
  11. I am tired of having inkjet printers where the ink dries up if you don't use it (and I use my printer once every few months), and my Trusty Canon scanner is hitting its 8th birthdayand is slow as hell scanning at 300dpi. I am looking at getting a laser multifunction unit at a good price. Ideally, I would want ot to be network-ready (or even wireless), colour printing, with a flatbed scanner and ADF that can copy/scan both sides of the page. Obviously, I will pay through the nose for such a thing, so I am wondering what I can get for $200-$300 (or less - I'm cheap), that will do most of this. I can pass on the colour printing part since I don't really ever print in colour. It does have to be network-ready (or wireless), and I would prefer it to have an ADF that scans both sides, but will sacrifice with single scan. Does anyone know of a good unit that is affordable and does most, if not all, of what I want? I am keeping this site in mind when looking at units, so I am hoping users here have some ideas on what to get. No inkjet all-in-one's though
  12. Entry to the covenant Choclate Speedway!
  13. My collection has stayed the same except for getting 4 more Master System games (148 total). I also have a PSone that I forgot to list with about 5 games. I got rid of the Jaguar as soon as I got it, and am geting rid of my CIB TG-16.
  14. Most pages just requiring cropping. I've only come across a few that I needed to rotate
  15. 62% done (50 out of 80 pages). I should have the rest done tomorrow. I am going to bed now since I am not feeling well
  16. I can edit EGP and release it on here. It doesnt look like it needs TOO much work
  17. Oh baby! December 1992 is a nice thick issue! Thanks!! I'll compile these later today and get them on the site for you
  18. SWATPro #1 COMPLETE! Available now
  19. No problem! SWATPro #1 As of April 25, 2008 Scanned: 100% Edited: 30%

People like him never realize that they are the problem. It's always everyone else. And if he sees you arguing with him as you using your admin status to try and control him, who cares? It is your site, afterall, and he is just one dipshit who seems to get on a lot of people's nerves. I'm aware that I am able to suspend him but 1) I was just made an admin and don't want to be seen by other members or admins as trying to run things; 2) he hasn't really done anything wrong as far as I am concerned. He's just expressing his very wrong opinion about joined pages. Yes, it's annoying people, but he is not being insulting about it. If he starts taking scans that are already out and scanned by someone else and doing his joined pages crap on those, then I would see that as a major problem. Can someone tell me why he is even here if he is not putting the thank you page in and is going to do things the way he likes them no matter how many members object? If he was releasing a single page AND joined page version of his scans, then that would be great. But he already said he won't take the extra 2 minutes to zip up the jpegs for a single page version before joining the pages. So for those who don't like the joined pages, someone has to either scan that same issue again, or they have to take his issue, split the pages and then release it. More work than if he would do it from the start. What a boner.
  21. Because if the pages aren't joined, you don't have to run the reader maximized. Not to mention that you don't have to scroll side to side to see everything. With single pages, you can zoom in enough to read the text clearly without having to scroll left and right. Thankfully, I don't read or download the Nintendo Power magazines, so I don't have to deal with joined pages. And any other issues that have them can be easily separated in Photoshop.
  22. Calm down spaz . I have scanned 65% of the pages and edited 30% of the pages. It will be done in a few days hopefully
  23. Easy. Unless you have severe ADD and forget what you are doing, anyone can follow what they are reading even if they have to flip back and forth for a little text box. This issue of joining pages should be voted on by members, and members don't want joined pages, then so be it. If pages are going to be joined, then a version should also be made available with the pages not joined.
  24. Just played a bit of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Mega amazing.
