  1. It was probably too costly to make a monthly magazine, especially since they were sending them out for free for a while to those who registered their systems. Plus I am sure they would have been much skinner if they came out every month. But they could have started the magazine in July/August to make life easier.
  2. Yeah, CD-i games are pricey. the system didn't sell very well, so there aren't many out in the wild.
  3. I wouldn't call the CD-i games unnofficial. they are original games, fully licensed to Philips by Nintendo. The games had Nintendo's blessing
  4. I didn't see anything interesting when I checked wednesday night...
  5. Someone has bid on it already, and I am not sure if it is someone from here. So I don't want to bid incase I am going against someone here!
  6. I've done it twice successfully. Most sellers are accomodating about it since they are just magazines
  7. You could always win it and ask the guy to ship it directly to whoever. That's what I've done a couple of times. If needed, I am sure the Scanner would be willing to pay the shipping
  8. Everything seems to be more expensive for you guys in Europe. Here the game is $30, and it came out yesterday. If it would cost, I would hold off on getting it since I want to get Sega Superstar Tennis, and Mario Kart. And I recently decided that SSB Brawl is a game I want to get. I don't like fighting games, but this one looks like it has more variety than crap games like Street Fighter, so on my list it goes. Then there is all the DS and GBA games I want to get for when I buy a DS...
  9. Drops in price? How cheap do you want it? It's selling for a mere $30
  10. That one ends today. You should go after it. I am at work and eBay is blocked, so I am not able to.
  11. If I had the money to get the same sexy scanner you have, I'd tell you to ship me your EGM and I would scan those like they are going out of style. However, I don't think the wife would see it as a wise purchase, when we have actual life things (debt, bills) to pay. However, I am still willing to edit EGMs and such as quickly as possible when the time comes.
  12. Does that include OTHERS buying them for you?
  13. I am not sure it's understanding as much as it is tolerance for this geeky project! Geeky, but very incredibly awesome I could actually get one of those scanners for $100. If I had the need of a scanner and the money, I would do it to help out and get more crap out and released

The board would need to be A LOT more active for anyone to acheive that many!
  15. Well, before I get to that point, I want to finish getting all the stars that are possible before fighting Browser in the center of the universe. That includes the Daredevil run fighting Bouldergiest in the Boo MAnsion galaxy. I am not looking forward to that. I had a hard enough time beating him with 6 units of health, let alone 1.
  16. Oh great, now I know what kind of frustrating tasks await me in that game :(
  17. I don't know if the Wii version of Sega Bass Fishing is a sequel or just a remake of the Dreamcast game. From what I read about it, it's a port of the DC game. I used to play Super Black Bass a lot on the SNES, and it was a lot of fun. I am hoping this version is just as fun. If Sega wasn't putting it out, I wouldn't be excited about it, though a good fishing game would be great. I don't know how good the fishing game that is already out is.
  18. My next Wii purchase will probably be Sega Bass Fishing. If that game gets horrid reviews, then it will probably be Sega Superstars Tennis...unless I end up buying Zelda or one of the other games that have been out for a while and still need to end up in my hands
  19. It's nice to read that there will be online play and other online related things. Perhaps Nintendo is finally going to do the online thing properly
  20. My backlog will grow once I get a DS as well. It just means more games that need playing
  21. Ah, so I am not the only one who buys games and then doesn't play them until months later . That is what I am doing now. I have about 7 Wii games, but only play Mario Galaxy and Endless Ocean. Once I am done Mario (done meaning beat Bowser; not collecting all 242 stars), I will start my other games and work on the extra Galaxy stuff here and there. Zelda is still one of the games I need to buy at some point soon.
  22. Can't disagree with you on that one. It was my magazine of choice and my family bought it every month, and everyone (me + mother + stepfather) read it. I only bought EGM during a few summers when I was visitng family, and around Christmas (November, December, and sometimes January issues), because they were usually massively thick. I don't think GamePro ever put out a 400+ page issue . It was a good magazine, but GamePro was definately much better, even if they didn't have the jump on some game info like EGM did.
