The one problem I had back when I was editing for you guys was what to do when I was done lol. I had maybe two mags edited and all purdy...but no where to send them. I think I shared them back on 420s DC++ hub when it was up, but god knows if anyone nabbed them from me. Maybe I started at a bad time =S That being said I'll respond to a few tidbits. Because the forums look abandoned. (ok ok, not really, but certainly not bursting forth with activity) Isn't there a php script that does this? (checks the domain of the computer requesting the file and if it's not retromags.com it gives them the backhand) I'm sure I've seen one somewhere. That wouldn't be so hard to do even if you don't host the files. Especially with the new nfos and whatnot. it's quite obvious what this site is all about and what we (ok, you =] ) do.

I believe that most people come here for scans. Not the forums. The scans should come first. They should be highlighted and held up so the curious people can come here and get them and see what you're all about. Obviously that's a bit unrealistic in terms of server costs, but maybe just host the "latest" issue at a time. That might keep people here and encourage them to donate to be able to get all the older issues. Originally I (like nearly everyone else) came here because of a torrent on mininova. I just wanted to see what else you guys have to offer, instead, all I found was forums. I believe people want to see what you all have been doing, not just some "go to mininova" response. You need something to make this a website and not just a bunch of forums. If you catch my meaning. As for the attack system and arcade...I don't even bother. JaredKFan knows.. he attacks me all the time haha. It might be entertaining for some people. But in the end it's just part of the forums.

Good movie. Worth ranting about? not really. Seems like movies are going the way of video games and focusing more on special effects than a decent plot. (though granted the story behind 300 isn't a bad one at all) Frankly I found the blood effects were very white and black. Sometimes it'd be awesome and realistic, but sometimes (usually the splatters/spray of small blood droplets) really ruined it for me.

Indeed. I think once the novelty of the "OMG IT'S A REMOTE" wears off, the wii will go down the tubes and the 360 and ps3 will lead the markets. Well... unless nintendo comes up with some really good games or some really ceative ways of using it. As well as offering an HD-DVD/BD option later on. We'll see I guess.

Could you remove the "latest inductee.." and other hiscore stuff from being announced in the "Latest Discussions" box on the front page? It's very annoying and bumps the actual discussions off of the front page, and since said posts aren't really discussions at all, it renders the "Latest Discussions" box useless.

I would probably assume that it's because of the "retromags" part and not beacause of copyright issues. New stuff wouldn't be retro now would it? =P Also there's probably much less need to preserve the newer stuff as you can even still order back issues.

Just wanted to suggest browsing half.com every now and again. Thay have a ton of old stuff that pops up every now and again for extremely cheap. Most of them are strategy guides, but occaisionally there's a magazine or three up. I just bought a like-new copy of a semi-rare 3do strategy book for 0.75$! With shipping it only comes out to 4$. Anyway, just making a suggestion. Sometimes ebay isn't the only sollution =)

Actually in my quest to see if they clsoed registrations, it looks like the CGW torrent they had has disappeared. =( ...well, that or my torrent search abilities have atrophied. =P That being said, there IS in fact, a CGW torrent up on Transexual-Underground that's still seeded (along with a few other, more-recent CGW issues) FYI: it's torrentid 10216

The partition could be on part of the HD that got damaged. I'd suggest running a few diagnostics on the HD first. Then you can bother with the partitions once you know the disc is ok. Obviously if there's a HD error, back up all your stuff, quick =)

Have you considered newsgroup distribution? I noticed that there's a good portion of NP up on various groups, but not all of it, so I figured it was probably done by a 3rd party. NewsGroup distribution, while certainly limiting who can download it (though my ISP offers NG access with their internet package), would probably take a lot of the load off of the initial seeders.

I'm usually on google's IRC server, so if anyone needs an invite just hop on and join the #invites channel. Say you're from retromags and I might not ignore you =P btw it's irc.Transexual-Underground.com on 6667 There's also a java chat that automatically connects on google's site. You don't have to be a member to use it, so there's no excuse for you lazy people.

Welcome back! I look forward to making sure I have a complete collection and will download the nfos. Unfortunately I renamed most of the mags so seeding them would be very troublesome, but they can always be renamed again I suppose if it's necessary. I was wondering why things were pretty dead here.

I'd love to see 1 + 3 on google sometime. Did you ever get it scanned and up?
